The Vice-Presidnet, Mr Krishan Kant, today called upon foresters to ensure the participation of local people and their families in forest management. No textbooks are available and the idea of allowing public participation in forest management has to be evolved through intense and sensitive probing by officers, he said, while delivering the convocation address at the Indira Gandhi National Forest Academy here.
