PHA plants 42,000 saplings in 20 days

The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) has planted 42,000 saplings during the last 20 days as part of its trees planting campaign in the city.
According to a press release issued on Sunday, the members of the national and provincial assemblies also participated in the tree planting campaign.
Rana Mubashar, a member of the Punjab Assembly, planted a tree at Thokar Niaz Beg and expressed his resolve to work with the PHA to increase the flora in the city. He said that it was not the sole duty of the PHA to protect and maintain the city parks, adding that the general public should also be encouraged to participate in tree planting. PHA Director General Irfan Elahi has directed his staff to maintain the quality of the saplings. He said that positive aspects of the environment should be taken into account during the selection of plants. The maximum size of a plant should be four feet, he added. staff report
