PHE plants inaugurated by Daimari

Rihon Daimari, PHE Minister, today inaugurated two power plants at Kumbhirgram tea estate and another at Bahadurpur in Cachar in the presence of high officials of the Department, MLAs and the general public. Addressing the gathering at both the places, the minister in said the two plants each with a capacity of 50,000 litres would go a long way in meeting the potable water needs of the people of cluster of villages. He added that he was aware of the problems of the people of these areas and the PHE Department created the necessary infrastructure to set up the water plants after taking note of the demands of the people . The minister pointed out that his government was committed to bringing all villages of Barak Valley under the network of water plants and eliminating the suffering of people in securing safe drinking water. Besides, high level PHE officials who included Nareswar Kakoti PHE secretary, Baharuddin Laskar, deputy secretary, MLAs Nurul Hussain, Ghana Bargohain, Monoranjan Das, all from Brahmaputra Valley, Cachar MLAs, Qutub Ahmed and Ataur Rahman Majharbhuyia, Abhijit Dutta, chief engineer (sanitation) PHE, as well as ZP chairman Dibya Jyoti Baruah were present on the occasion.
