Volcanologists today warned those living on the slopes of the restive Mayon Volcano in east Philippines to watch out for "sudden explosive activity," which could herald an eruption. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said more high frequency tremors, indicating magma movement, were detected in the past 24 hours at Mayon Volcano in the Albay province, 330 km southeast of Manila.
