There is risk that the two plutonium-carrying vessels expected to depart Europe for Japan this month could be vulnerable to armed attack from "nuclear pirates," a local environmental group warned yesterday. Citing the July 4 edition of the Independent Times, the Korean Federation for Environmental Movement (KFEM) said that the Japanese ships - the Pacific Teal and the Pacific Pintail - could be targeted by terrorist groups or rogue states intent on acquiring nuclear weapons.
