With an aim to improve density and quality of forests, Tamil Nadu State Forest Department has drawn up an action plan to expand forest cove in nearly six lakh hectares in five years, the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Mr J.C. Kala, has said.Under the joint forest management project and with the willing support of people, five lakh hectares under forest area and one lakh hectares outside the forest would be developed as quality forest, Mr Kala told presspersons .
