The Ministry of environment and forests has taken a decision to give areas of denuded forest land to the NGOs and industrial houses for voluntary improvement of forest cover over a period of two years. Officials in the ministry claim that the development of barren areas will be carried out by NGOs with monetary assistance from industrial houses.
