The National Committee for Protection of Natural Resources (NCPNR), a national network of over 50 reputed non-government organisations active in various parts of the country, has requested the Madhya Pradesh Lokayukta and the State Chief Secretary to speed up investigation into complaints of alleged "commission and omission, including irregularities committed by the Madhya Pradesh Forest Minister in land deals and destruction of forests."
