PM inaugurates Rs 3,000-cr expressway project in AP

The work on the biggest infrastructure of Andhra Pradesh - a 169-km long eight lane expressway around Hyderabad city worth Rs 3,000 crore was kicked off when the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh laid the foundation stone for the prestigious project at Shamshabad near the upcoming international airport. Addressing a public meeting on the occasion, he said that the Central Government would extend all the possible assistance for the completion of the project and the viability gap funding mechanism and the proposed special purpose vehicle for infrastructure would be used for the purpose, if necessary.
