The Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, Digvijay Singh said that the Prime Minister, Atal Behari Vajpayee, was wrongly briefed before he went ahead and announced at his Mandla rally near Jabalpur on June 17 that the Centre had already issued "No Objection Certificate" and it was now for the State Government to issue the notification for changing the status of forest villages to revenue villages.
