The MDMK leader, Vaiko, today urged the Prime Minister, Atal Behari Vajpayee, to take appropriate steps for the implementation of Sethusamudram canal project. In a letter to Mr. Vajpayee, he said on completion the project would reduce the distance between various ports on the Eastern and Western side of the country by 350 miles.
