In a shocking incident at Borivli on May 24, about 30 gun wielding policemen threw a cordon around a group of residents who were peacefully protesting the cutting down of trees in their society premises. The residents of Nand Dham Cooperative Society had been trying to prevent builders K.Patel and Co. from cutting ten trees belonging to their society.
