A big mess has to be cleared up in the Capital as far as collection, storage, transportation and disposal of Municipal Solid Waste is concerned. That is the conclusion of the report filed by the Central Pollution Control Board in the High Court on Delhi's solid waste. Following Supreme Court orders, dated March 1, 1996, the CPCB has regularly sent inspection teams to check on the status of solid waste in Delhi, New Delhi and the Delhi Cantonment Board areas.
