The Himachal Pradesh State Environment Protection and Pollution Control Board recently issued a notice to a company executing the 70 MW Budhil Hydroelectric Project under the provisions of the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Rules to stop work but the company has so far failed to comply with it. The company is reportedly not paying any heed to the prescribed environment and pollution norms. The 70 MW Budhil Hydroelectric Project is under construction on the Budhil rivulet, a tributary of the Ravi in Bharmour tribal subdivision.
