Labour and Work Minister A M Hidasgeri, who is also the district in-charge Minister, said all measures would be taken to desilt the major ponds in Hubli-Dharwad in Karnataka. The minister said the desiltation work of Neerasagar, which began some days ago, was progressing in full swing. All possible steps would be taken to protect and preserve ponds in Hubli-Dharwad and to protect gardens, immediately after the completion of the desiltation work of Neerasagar, he said.
