Nearly 55 per cent of the working children do so in "bad' work places with safe drinking water unavailable and 45 per cent have no access to toilet facilities. Some 40 per cent of these kids work for eight to ten hours a day and 70 per cent have no rest period, a survey has revealed.This survey was done by Child Rights Cell of the All India Trade Union Congress on 250 children working on beaches, domestic construction sites, hotels, fishing industry, tourism industry, and other areas, as part of their campaign against child labour.
