Seven years after th 240 MW Pooyamkutty Hydel Power Project first came to the Ministry of Environment and Forests for clearance, it's fate still hangs in the balance. While Minister of State in the Environment Ministry Babu Lal Marandi, informed the Lok Sabha on July 27, that the project had been cleared, Kerala Sasthra Sahitya Parishad (KSSP) filed a writ in the Kerala High Court which has stayed any work on the project.
