The residents of Manikganj Pourashava (Bangladesh) have been facing a host of problems which include deplorable condition of roads, inadequate street lights, absence of proper drainage system, shortage of accommodation, lack of proper sanitary arrangement, mosquito menace, frequent failure of electricity, acute scarcity of pure drinking water and recreational facilities. The town is expanding with the increase of population but the Pourashava authority has failed to provide minimum civic amenities to the town dwellers.
