Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, Ms Sonia Gandhi has suggested that profit from the timber obtained from the forests should be given to the tribal people of the Madhya Pradesh state. She commended Gram Swaraj, Self Help Group Scheme, special recruitment drive for scheduled castes and Tribes and scheme for giving ownership rights over minor forest produce to the tribals.
