About 100 environmentalists and other citizens staged a rally in front of the Japanese consulate in Pusan (South Korea) yesterday to protest a controversial shipment of plutonium from Europe to Japan. Led by members of the Korean Federation for Environmental Movement (KFEM), the demonstrators issued a statement criticizing the shipment as a sign of Japan's revived militarism through nuclear armament.
