People at different areas said they had lodged complaints with the water department of the corporation about the existing water crisis, but the authorities were yet to take any initiative in this regard. Moreover, the people in different areas cannot collect water from tube wells due to sharp fall in the water level, they said. Almost all the tube wells have remained inoperative due to the problem creating worries among the city people. Qaium Sony, a bank official in Upasahar area, said they had not got any supply water of the corporation for the last few days.
