Mohali- The Punjab Tractors Limited (PTL) on Tuesday kick started a tree plantation drive in the city. Deputy Commissioner Rahul Bhandari planted the first of 10,000 saplings to be planted under the "Green Mohali' drive at the campus of the Paraplegic Rehabilitation Centre here. PTL has opted to spend 1 per cent of its profit after paying tax on community development including health, education and environment protection under its Corporate Social Responsibility Programme. Under this initiative, PTL MD-cum-CEO Bishwambhar Mishra and DMD AM Sawhney have taken the onus to "Green Mohali' town during the current rainy season, said a PTL release.
