New licence plates and pollution under control (PUC) certificates will have to be obtained by all owners of vehicles in Delhi by July 1. Not having a pollution certificate will attract a Rs 1000 fine and those without right number plates will be fined Rs 100. Vehicle owners can get PUC certificates from any of the 400 pollution checking centres set up in the city' a transport department official said.
