Farmers in Punjab area a harrowed lot, for the simple fact that they will have to live with pesticides for the rest of their lives. A recent study conducted by the Centre for Science and Envrionment (CSE) showed that the amount of pesticide in their blood is as much as 15 to 605 times higher than normal. Farmers say that despite repeated requests from the State Government, the pesticides they use in crops have not been diluted by the manufacures.
