Conservationists will use the Olympics to try to embarrass Australia internationally after the Queensland Government signalled it would allow 1.8 million hectares of threatened bushland to be cleared.Part of the state legislation to protected "endangered" bushland will be enacted next week, but emerging from the meeting, the Australian Conservation Foundation's director Don Henry angrily dismissed this as inconsequential.
