The Punjab Irrigation Department is contemplating the suspension of water supply in the Indira Gandhi canal due to its poor condition in the territory of Punjab. The Rajhasthan Govenment has expressed its helplessness in providing Rs 8 crore as demanded by Punjab for the maintenance work and has agreed to provide only Rs 1 crore.
