The Rajasthan High Court issued notices to the state government on a petition seeking removal of encroachment on over 48,748 hectares of forest land across the state. A Division Bench comprising Justice S K Keshote and Justice Dinesh Maheshwari issued the notices to the Chief Secretary and the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests on a petition filed by Mr Baulal Jain, who heads People for Animals.
