Rajasthan floats new township

Rajasthan has taken the lead in floating a proposal for establishing a world-class city in the National Capital Region (NCR) with public-private partnership to ease the population pressure on Delhi. The State Government has selected the Shahjahanpur-Neemrana-Behror area for implementing the ambitious urban scheme. The Centre has assured of providing full assistance for establishing the new township while approving the Regional Plan-2021 for the NCR. The NCR Planning Board will bear full expenses to be undertaken on formulating the action plan for executing the scheme.The Union Minister for Urban Development and Chairman of the NCR Planning Board, Ghulam Nabi Azad, said at the Board's 28th meeting convened in New Delhi on Saturday that the Centre would cooperate with Rajasthan in establishing the new urban complex.
