Rajasthan going full steam ahead with affordable housing

The Rajasthan Government is constructing over 10,600 houses under 15 housing schemes as part of affordable housing policy at a cost of Rs.363 crore this year. The construction work is in progress at Jaipur, Chaksu, Bhiwadi, Kuchaman and Dausa. According to State Principal Urban Development and Housing Secretary G. S. Sandhu, the Union Housing Ministry has accepted detailed project reports for three schemes and approved a subsidy of Rs.12,500 for each house.
