Railway minister Mamata Banerjee who also spoke on the occasion said she hoped that the Red Ribbon Express will help meet the primary objective of providing a communication and service package to those living in rural areas. She further said that creating awareness about HIV/AIDS in the country's interiors will enable the public to take the measures necessary to protect themselves from the disease.
