Bhutanese refugees staying at the Pathrai-Shanischare refugee camp have been deforestating the forest of the respective VDCs, despite a quota of kerosene they are provided daily. According to Mohan Neupane, the chairman of Shanischare VDC, the refugees sell the kerosene and go to the forests to fetch fire woods.
