The Chattisgarh Cabinet approved a rehabilitation package for those who will be affected due to acquisition of land for development of a new capital city. However, it made the Capital Area Development Agency the nodal agency set up for the purpose responsible for raising finances for acquisition of land. A five member ministerial sub-committee that decided in the rehabilitation package also suggested constitution of a special committee to work out the market value of the land to be acquired.
