The Delhi High Court directed over 1,000 unauthorised structures and jhuggis at a flyash pound at Bhairon Marg, near Pragati Maidan, to be removed forthwith. The bench comprising Justice Vijender Jain and Justice S.N. Aggarwal also asked the Delhi Development Authority, Municipal Corporation and other bodies to explain as to how over 2,800 jhuggis were relocated at a place unfit for human dwelling. The court passed this directive while hearing on a PIL complaining about relocation of the jhuggis at the flyash pound.
