Report suggests phasing out pre-1990 autorickshaws, taxis

The environment authority for Delhi has suggested, among others, phasing out all pre-1990 autorickshaws and taxis, among other things, to combat pollution. This has been stated in a report of the authority. The Environment Pollution (Prevention and Control) Authority's report--on monitoring and priority measures identified--was discussed on Wednesday at a high-power meeting chaired by Union environment minister Suresh P Prabhu.
