Some area of the land close to the Hirehalla barrage is reported to have caved in though its not even three weeks since the barrage was inaugurated. If in the coming days the reservoir were to become full, there is the danger of the dam itself collapsing, District Janata Dal President Hanumanthappa Angadi said here today. He also pointed out that measures could have been initiated to prevent wastage of water from the canals.
