A large number of residents of South Delhi led by the MLA from Saket, Vijay Jolly, took out a march from Tigri to the Delhi Jal Board office at Mehrauli to protest against the water crisis in their colonies. Addressing the protesters, Mr. Jolly said while Rs. 900 crores had been spent on the Sonia Vihar water treatment plant that was originally scheduled to be completed by May 31, 2003, various residential colonies in South Delhi and Outer Delhi were still facing acute water scarcity.
