Bhimavarm, Sept. 15: The East and West Godavari delta project committees demanded for immediate restoration of Polavaram main project works. The committee representatives, Mr Trinadh Reddy and Mr R. Satyanaraya Raju, appealed to the Chief Minister, Mr K. Rosaiah, to use his good offices in taking up the works immediately. At a meeting organised here on Wednesday farmer leaders from both the districts decided to conduct similar meetings at Krishna and Guntur districts to create awareness among farming community. They also warned of intensifying the agitation if the political leadership does not respond to their demand. The meeting also expressed confidence over the national status to the Polavaram project.
