Plowing through a reserve forest on the fringes of Mumbai is a road that breaks nearly every rule in the jungle book. What was once a narrow dirt track for devotees and trekkers to hike up to the Tungareshwar temple near Vasai is now a smooth motorable road making its way through trees and perennial streams.
