Tirupur: The Noyyal River Ayacutdars Protection Association (NRAPA) had moved the Madras High Court following the high level of Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) recorded in River Noyyal by a recent study conducted by Public Works Department.

A study by Irrigation section of PWD on August 5, 6 and 7 indicated that the TDS level in River Noyyal was 5,700 ppm (parts per million) against the stipulated 2,100 ppm.
