River terminal to be built at Patna: Sinha

Realising the potential of Patna to develop as an important waterway in North and East India and Nepal, the Centre has decided to set up a river terminal with modern facilities for mechanised handling of cargo, Union Sipping Minister Shatrughan Sinha said. The Minister said river Hooghly, besides the Ganga, would play an important role in the development of inland waterways.
