Rivers still in spate in UP

With the prominent rivers continuing to flow above danger marks at several places, the government claimed to have shifted more than 8000 people to safer places in the last 24 hours. No fresh casulty was reported. However, the the Farrukhabad district administration sought the help of Army in relief and rescue operation.
According to an official spokesman PAC, NDRF and local administration were in full swing in discharging their duty of rescue and relief work. The Principal Secretary and Relief Commissioner has directed the DMs to monitor and verify the compensation given to the flood victims themselves and also expedite it as much as possible.
The prominet rivers including Ganga, Yamuna, Ramganga, Sharda, Ghaghra, Kuano were still flowing above danger level mark but their trend was descending one. In the state capital though Gomti was running below daner level mark but a sharp rising trend has been witnessed lately.
