Preparations to draw water from Macchu-2, Demi-1 and Aji-3 reservoirs for the city have been set in motion. Plans to fetch water from Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar by a special train might take at least two months to take off. The water level in the Saurashtra region was touched the lowest lpercentage of 1.74 because of evaporation. It might lead to a severe crisis in Surendranagar and Rajkot rural in September.
