Road crashes will be third largest killer by the year 2020, ahead of war HIV and other infectious diseases. This was revealed by World Disasters Report, 1998. The report which is released annually since the past five years by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies , this year focuses on traffic accidents and labels it as a disaster.
