Good quality roads are necessary to maintain traffic system properly and to attract tourists day by day towards the state. Roads play pivotal role always at infrastructure level. Question of good quality roads comes into mind at the time of investment by the industrialists. If roads are not good, the concept of healthy business in the State would not get weight. It means road is important like electricity and water for the investors. But the roads of the state again have changed into damaged condition. Most of the roads of cities and other areas are not worth motorable. Even though at many a place the roads were constructed recently. The material with which the roads were built have started to come out. Big pits could be seen which shows lack of proper supervision at the time of construction of the roads as also proper maintenance of these roads. When the condition of roads of the capital city, the state of roads in smaller towns could be anybody's guess. Generally, heavy rainfall washes out roads But this season the rainfall has been scanty and there is no chance for any excuse. Now, the process of filling up the potholes on roads is on. How long this would continue? Several questions are being raised regarding fast deterioration of roads. First of all the quality of the roads is not being kept in view. There might be low standard pitch used during the road construction or it was not used in proper quantity. It is a matter of great concern that even after spending crores of rupees, most of the roads have again attained their old condition. Government should take it seriously and roads should be well maintained, to avoid traffic related hurdles.
