Rs 100-cr Kalindi bypass project hits roadblock

  • 28/06/2004

More than a year after work began on the Kalindi bypass project, it has hit many roadblocks, including land acquisition. With the result, say senior officials of the public works department (PWD), less than 10% of the work has been done. The deadline for completion of the project is May, 2005. It was begun in May, 2003. The 6.5-km bypass project connecting Kalindi Kunj and Mathura Road is being constructed to ease traffic on Mathura Road between Maharani Bagh and Sarita Vihar. It is also expected to ease the congestion at Badarpur Border by segregating Faridabad-bound traffic.
