Rs 1,360 crore Japanese loan for Delhi Metro

Initiating full resumption of its official development assistance loan programme to India, Japan extended Rs 4,450 crore loan package for seven projects, including the Delhi Metro, the Yamuna Action Plan, the Simhadri and the Bakreswar thermal power stations. The loan agreements were signed in Tokyo by Kyosuke Shinozawa, governor of the Japan Bank for International Co-operation and Aftab Seth, Indian ambassador to Japan, a JBIC statement said.
