The State government has planned to provide farmers with agro logistics at a cost of Rs 2,000 crore, to ensure better price for agriculture produces. Agro-zones, for better price addition The proposed logistic service will focus on procurement of produce and setting up cold storages, said Economic Advisor to chief minister K V Raju at a workshop on potentials in agro-marketing and warehousig in the State here on Wednesday. He said the experts would monitor, process, store and transport the perishable commodity and ensure it reaches the market at the earliest. Agro-zones Besides, to ensure better price and value addition to the produce, the State government will set up agro zones on the lines of industrial corridors. The process of identifying five potential cultivation areas for the agro zones is on, he said. These agro zones will be provided necessary infrastructure.
