Rs 2020-cr WB project for highways improvement

PWD Minister H D Revanna has said that the State Cabinet has given its approval to the Karnataka Road Development Corporation (KRDL) to take up construction of 10 bridges at a cost of Rs.2020 crore in the next three years. Speaking to mediapersons here on Monday, Revanna said his department was also taking up a NABARD project involving Rs.275 crore investments to develop village roads and construct minor bridges. The Cabinet also approved Phase II of the Karnataka State Highways Improvement project, funded by the World Bank. The Rs.2,020 crore project would be completed in the next three years. The first phase of the project was progressing and would be completed by December 2006 as scheduled, Revanna said.
