Rs 385-cr for improving water supply, drainage in Jammu, Srinagar

An hefty package of Rs. 385 crores is being incurred for improving drinking water, sewerage and drainage systems in the twin capitals of Jammu and Kashmir by the Economic Reconstruction Agency (ERA). The approved sanction of Rs 385 crore package to be expended under phase-I of Asian development Bank (ADB) funding includes spending of Rs. 120 crore on the earmarked 8 schemes aimed at improvement of various schemes in the Srinagar, while as Rs. 265 crore would be used for execution of 8 water supply improvement projects in Jammu city.
