Bokaro/Ranchi, Nov. 10: Chief minister Arjun Munda today declared that the state government would contribute Rs 5 crore for the development of Luguguru, a tribal religious hub situated some 75km from Bokaro city. Munda was in the village to offer prayers to Luguguru deity on the occasion of Kartik purnima. Munda, who promised to turn the hamlet into a tourist centre of Jharkhand, stated that his government was committed for the development of the tribal pockets and ensure that the fruits of development reached every corner of the state. A heavy security blanket was thrown in and around Luguguru, which is considered to be rebel-hit, as the chief minister landed around 3.45pm. JMM supremo Shibu Soren and deputy chief minister Hemant Soren too reached the village later to offer prayers. JVM head Babulal Marandi too reached the village to offer prayers later. Earlier in the day, Munda urged industries to prepare road maps on grooming youths within a year. Addressing participants at Skill Conclave, a meet hosted by Confederation of Indian Industry in Ranchi, Munda rued that Jharkhand had been “unable to utilise our manpower that share a symbiotic relationship with industries”. “If young minds are trained, they will successfully bag jobs, which will also benefit industries, as they suffer from shortage of skilled manpower,” he said. The meet was co-sponsored by Jindal Steel and Power Limited and Tata Steel with Tinplate India Limited as the corporate contributor.
